The questions everyone asks

No runaround. Here's the honest version of what folks want to know before they hire a concrete crew in North Texas.

Does a concrete contractor in Texas need a state license?
Here's the part most companies won't tell you: Texas doesn't issue a state license for concrete work. So anyone advertising a state concrete license here is stretching the truth. What you can actually check is what matters. G&M holds contractor registrations and has pulled permits in McKinney, Celina, Flower Mound, Dallas, Argyle, and Denton, carries a $2 million commercial insurance policy we're glad to show you, and puts every warranty in writing. Read the full breakdown on our blog.
How much does a backyard project cost?
Honest starting points so you can plan: stamped and stained concrete starts at $15 per square foot, flatwork at $8 per square foot with a 600 square foot minimum, outdoor kitchens around $10,000, pergolas around $5,000, and pavilions around $20,000. Outdoor fireplaces and hardscaping are quoted per project, because every one is custom. Your written estimate is always itemized and exact, so there are no surprises. Watch out for anyone baiting you with a rock-bottom per-foot price, then piling on pump, demo, grading, and cleanup charges at the end. Here's how that trap works.
What areas do you serve?
North DFW and Texoma. From Sherman down to Fort Worth, over to Dallas, and up through Gainesville, including Tioga, Pilot Point, Celina, Prosper, McKinney, Denton, Argyle, Frisco, and Flower Mound. If you're anywhere in that stretch, send us your project and we'll come take a look.
Do you offer a warranty?
Yes, in writing. We follow Texas guidelines: 6 years structural, 2 years on electrical and plumbing, and 1 year workmanship on minor fixes. Every project is different, so your exact terms are spelled out in your quote. A lot like buying a home.
Can you pour concrete in the winter?
Yes. As long as it's above 40 degrees, we pour year-round. We also add cure-slowing chemicals to our mix, because concrete that cures slower cures stronger. Your backyard shouldn't have to wait for one perfect month to get built, or to get enjoyed.
Do you build swimming pools?
No, we build dream backyards, not pools. If a pool is the centerpiece of your plan, a dedicated pool company is the right call, and we're happy to build everything around it: the patio, the kitchen, the pergola, and more.
